Nimonic identifies a family of nickel-based super alloys, particularly resistant to corrosion and high temperature.
The most popular alloys are Nimonic 75, Nimonic 80A and Nimonic 263; We are regularly trading Nimonic alloy scrap and turnings and we have also great interest in evaluating proposals on re-usable bars and tubes, second-choice products or overstocks manufactured by using these alloys.
Nimonic alloys typically have more than 50% nickel and 20% chrome, with the addition of titanium and aluminium, if necessary; they are mainly used for building gas turbine and high-performance motor elements as well as structural parts for nuclear reactors.
Nimonic 263 was developed by Rolls-Royce for some components of the jet engine mounted on the Concorde.
